Rainy Autumn Evening

Sounds of the Season
Golden leaves adorn the ground, while some still hang upon the tree
Rainy whispers of winter abound, geese fly overhead as the cold they flee
Their voices make a humorous sound, day and night one can hear their constant plea
"toward southern breezes we are bound, where the suns rays are long upon the sea"
Happy trails, winged harbingers of winter's descent
May you carry upon your weary wings the verdant autumn scent
of northern leaves returning to the pungent garden of earth's repose
Your return in the spring fulfills the promise of all that this rich earth grows

Help

izzzat you or the late ms emily d? tis lovely as are you (and your sweet blog that continues to bear gits to all)
Perhaps a bit of Emily’s spirit was absorbed via the ethers. ;)
These days I have been immersed in the wistfully beautiful falling of autumn-time.
The wise jack-o-lanterns grin at me while I make peace with the leaves on the ground
and know that the cycle of life takes another spin that leads to a time when green shall abound.
I better stop this seasonal rhymin’ before I become dizzy upon autumn’s colorful merry-go-round :)
Ciao, Bellissima
