Garden Bliss

Posted on Sep 10th, 2006 by violetflame : Wave Rider violetflame
The tomatoes hang heavy on their vines, the cabbage spreads its leafy wings wide to greet the late summer morning, and the garden is ripe with the fullness of life. It doesn't get any better than garden bliss! I am grateful for this beautiful day, for this amazing life and for this new space to meet wonderful new beings and to encounter soul-opening ideas and heart-opening music! Thank you Brian for having the genius to create something so magickal and transformative of a space! Some discoveries I would recommend for others to check out if you haven't already are; A wonderful new musical group here on Zaadz, Inner Voice. Check out their website to hear one of their beautiful songs! I ordered their live CD and look forward to hearing more of their uplifting harmonies. Thank you Inner Voice creators! I have also discovered and joined the Feel Good Vibes space created byZaadz member David Tragfer. I downloaded David's a keep it simple approach to creating good things in one's life called "26 ways to feel good vibes" by Zaadz member David Trager. Thank you David! I have really been nourished by my recent correspondence with a thoughtful person from California I met via this community. And I am enjoying reading discussion threads on both of the wonderful and thought-provoking and inspiring pods I have joined. (thanks goes out to Alex Chua and Joy Brnger for their time and energy in creating their respective pods spaces! The only problem with this whole Zaadz phenomena is finding enough time to really delve deeper and participate in all the ways that I would like to. LOL To the Joyful and creativite envisioning of our best destinies together, I remain, ever so grateful! Love to the whole Zaadz family! Elena

River of Freedom

Posted on Sep 8th, 2006 by violetflame : Wave Rider violetflame
There are so many streams of consciousness running through me, so many new and old ideas dancing. So much magic, so many wonderful possibilities in life. We have all been blessed with our teacher's words - the words that express the truth of who we are, the magic of our being an integral co-creative part of this magnificent soul-shining magnificence! What an honor and a joy to participate in life. I was speaking to my dear blissful friend (and teacher) Barbara, she is about to give birth to her second child and she told me she has been so happy in her life that she hates to see the end of the day and that as she prepares to sleep she is full of butterflies and excitement about the next day to come. She is like the children we have all been, excited about a special trip planned for the next morning. Except everyday is like that for her! What an inspiration. To know and be joy and to feel the on-going joy flowing through our lives in such magickal mysterious ways! In the Hicks' book " Ask and it is given"- Abraham speaks of how the greatest gift we can give is our joy and happiness. From seeking to en-Joy life we join - JOY-in -life and perhaps shine the light for others to be their joyfull selves. Gangaji- her joy radiates and uplifts us to find the freedom to simply be the loving stream we are- to let go and surrender the everpresence of our Truly Joyful Free selves. Thank you beacons of joy and light! I am grateful for the signposts along the way! Be the joy you wish to see,

sun gold moment

Posted on Sep 10th, 2006 by violetflame : Wave Rider violetflame
I was picking some garden candy (also know as sun gold cherry tomatoes-juicy sweet precious orbs of orange goldsunlight) in my garden when I spotted 2 lovely women in the crone years, walking home from church. I crossed the street and offered them a taste. One of them smiled lovingly and took one of my offered garden jewels. Her sweet smile made my day.

Happy International Peace Day! It's Never Too Late for Peace! LOL

The yin/yang of life . the contrast that reminds us that yes we are alive. Oh, dear all that is, how the ways of this world do sting and prick the soul, and then they strum and sing me back to center and I am just stretching across my/your space and time feeling the pain/joy of this life embrace me and remind me that I am infinitely alive! Just be with it all , watching it pass, the maya, the joy, the pain, the drama, the seasons, the leaves fall, the cold, the hot, the holy, the profane. I am all that you are and then One. I release myself into your cosmic embrace and take off my temporal costume so I can rest unadorned, simply Self, less, in your spacious infinite arms. Today was a day when I created a test for myself. I received unexpected stressful financial newss. Normally I would take a total nose dive into negativity. Today I just took a partial dip into it. Now and again, admittedly. I am holding the reality that whatever is happening I created to learn something and that if I can just be with this unforeseen event and maintain my PEACE of mind, I can allow the highest good to come of it. I do believe there is a reason for everything and that all is truly well. May Peace Prevail on Earth! FROM A DISTANCE From a distance the world looks blue and green, and the snow-capped mountains white. From a distance the ocean meets the stream, and the eagle takes to flight. From a distance, there is harmony, and it echoes through the land. It's the voice of hope, it's the voice of peace, it's the voice of every man. From a distance we all have enough, and no one is in need. And there are no guns, no bombs, and no disease, no hungry mouths to feed. From a distance we are instruments marching in a common band. Playing songs of hope, playing songs of peace. They're the songs of every one God is watching us. God is watching us. God is watching us from a distance. From a distance you look like my friend, even though we are at war. From a distance I just cannot comprehend what all this fighting is for. From a distance there is harmony, and it echoes through the land. And it's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves, it's the heart of every man. It's the hope of hopes, it's the love of loves. This is the song of every one And God is watching us, God is watching us, God is watching us from a distance. Oh, God is watching us, God is watching. God is watching us from a distance. Maya May all being live in Peace, Elena

September Deepening and a book recommendation

Posted on Sep 7th, 2006 by violetflame : Wave Rider violetflame
Dear Blog, What a beautiful day! A gorgeous early fall day here in the NorthEast part of the US. I am praying for peace, trying to BE peace, and remembering we are all ONE, Enjoyed some of my garden's bounty for lunch and shared some with co-workers. I am blessed with so much in my life. And the yearning to be more, give more, feel more continues. To find the stillness, and the silliness, too. The joy and the surrender to life's sweetest impulses in the middle of my work-a-world day! May we all find a way to truly be our authentic vulnerable and powerful selves as we go about our day, serving this lovely planet and its beings. May I be able to make lemonade when lemons show up in my life. I am grateful to the ALL and to all of you, out there, making this world a better place. Sometimes I like to share a book, film, or music that has lifted my spirits. Long ago, I read a book called "An Unexpected Light" by Jason Elliot. I was taken by the compassionate exchanges Elliot had with the people he met, and they reminded me that we are citizens of one home, no matter how foreign our cultures may be to one another. This is a poignant and otherworldly travel memoir that takes us to Afghanistan in the 1990's. Elliot is gifted in conveying the unique generosity that weaves the various subcultures of the Afghanisti people together. His accounts of his travels away from Kabul, deep into the vividly described mountain regions are truly transportive. I often felt like I was there right next to him sharing food out of a bowl with fellow traveling strangers. To be able to see an unblemished view of a people whose humanity shines through in their intreractions with Elliot, is refreshing and serves as a much needed balancing perpective in a time when the western media has done more than its share to reduce Afghanistan's culture into a faceless, nameless mass of terrorists (extremists) Islamists. Certainly, their have been heinuous things done there, particularly to women, in the name of Islam. Zealots of any religion can have a deadly impact on their culture and others, when they find their way to power. Their is much to mourn about the destruction of culture in Afghanistan, some at the hands of colonial powers like the USSR, and the USA, but even more horrific in ways, is the destruction caused by those religious extremists whose idea of holiness is so narrow that it warranted the destruction of many of the world's most beautiful mosques and temples because the depicted the human form which is forbade by some of the extreme Islam followers. May Peace prevail on Earth. Namaste Elena

Pema Chodron & Bill Moyers

Posted on Sep 19th, 2006 by violetflame : Wave Rider violetflame
A Zaady sent me a video link to a very interesting conversation between two people I admire a great deal. There was a wonderful timing to it, since Pema speaks about her healing experience of going through her particular pain by being still with herself, rather than choosing to do the typical things we often try to do instead, like watch a movie, go out to dinner, etc. Not that any of those are not helpful and good to do. She just emphasizes the profound transformation possible when we face our inner emotional turbulence by being present with the feelings , rather than submerging them or overrriding them. You might enjoy it,too. http://www.pbs.org/moyers/media_players/chodron_full.html May all beings, and especially You, be free of suffering, May all beings be happy, May all beings give and receive Love, May all beings experience joy and truth Peace, Elena
